C.F. Payne

This stunning original drawing comes to us courtesy of one of America’s premiere illustrators, C.F. Payne. It is a 9x12” ink illustration on textured paper depicting famed British Prime Minister Winston Churchill walking up the steps of the Prime Minister’s official residence and office, 10 Downing Street. This is a fantastic piece in Payne’s unmistakeable inking style, and would be a delight to add to your illustration collection. Signed “C.F.” in the lower right corner.

C.F. Payne is widely respected for his craft whose artwork has graced the covers of Time Magazine, Reader’s Digest, Sports Illustrated, The New York Times Book Review and Sunday Magazine, MAD Magazine, der Spiegel, U.S. News and World Report, The Atlantic Monthly, Texas Monthly, Boys’ Life and more. He has been commissioned to paint countless politicians, authors and entertainers. He has illustrated many children’s books in recent years, including those by celebrity authors John Lithgow and Steve Martin. Despite his proliferation, Payne also finds time to be the Director of MFA Illustration Program at the University of Hartford in Connecticut training young minds and hands to carry on the tradition of excellence in illustration.
