Nik Ranieri

If you would like to bid on this drawing, then by all means, be our guest! This beautiful ink and marker sketch of enlightened character Lumiere from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast comes to us from Nik Ranieri, the supervising animator of Lumiere! Can you believe that Beauty and the Beast is 25 years old this year?! Neither can we, but Lumiere hasn’t aged a day since then. He was drawn on an 8.5x11” piece of paper, and is signed by Nik Ranieri.

Nik Ranieri’s Disney career had an auspicious start working in London on the crew for Who Framed Roger Rabbit. He later moved to California to continue his work with the studio on The Little Mermaid as an animator for Ursula. Nik soon began supervising his own characters such as Wilbur the albatross in The Rescuers Down Under, Meeko the raccoon in Pocahontas, the villain Hades in Hercules, both the human and llama Kuzco in The Emperor’s New Groove, Charlotte in The Princess and the Frog, and even got knee deep in the CG animated world working on Meet the Robinsons and Chicken Little. Nik left Disney in 2013, and now applies his trade to exciting virtual reality animation such as with the recently released World War Toons game for Reload Studios.
